The song, Copycat is performed by Patrick Ouchène. The entry was officially confirmed this morning by Belgian broadcaster RTBF.
RTBF's radio channels officially confirmed the selection of Patrick Ouchène for the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow this morning. As we reported earlier, The singer gave a first reaction in RTBF's radio news broadcasts this morning.
"Many people will think it's kitsch and ridiculous, but I think that this is a big opportunity to give media exposure to the music style I'm bringing" says Patrick.
"When we recorded the song we made it very much 'pop' and 'Eurovision' but you recognize the rockabilly I represent. For me it's a way to put this music style that is popular from Russia over Turkey to Spain and Italy in the spotlight," Ouchène says. "I'll have two missions: represent Belgium and defend this musis style."

Patrick Ouchène will sing the song Copycat in the first Eurovision Song Contest semi final on Tuesday 12th May. He will be hoping to take Belgium back to the Eurovision Song Contest final for the first time since 2004.
