Croatia: Six songs chosen for the national final

Tonight, the semi final of Dora 2009, the Croatian national selection for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest was held. 14 acts competed and televoting chose six of them to move forward to the national final tomorrow, where they will meet the ten pre-qualified acts.

The following songs made it to the national final:

The poll voters hardly agreed with the televoters in the semi final. The winners of the televoting, Tomislav Bralic & Klapa Intrade, got 0% in the poll and hence finished equal last. Feminnem, who won the poll with extremely high 62.4% moved forward to the final, but only finished fourth. Generally, only half of the poll top six qualified tonight.

In 2008, Croatia was represented by Kraljevi Ulice & 75 Cent with the song Romanca. They finished eqaul third in the second semi final and 21st in the final, which was the country's lowest placing to date. In 2009, Croatia will take part in thesecond semi final on 14th May.
