Melody, one of the finalists at the Spanish Eurovision 2009 national final, El Retorno is all set to win tomorrow and represent Spain at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow. The Spanish press and media are predicting a 2 horse race between the Andalusian artist and Soraya. Melody has been busy rehearsing a brand new choreography for her performance tomorrow. A new set of dancers will accompay her on stage. She will be bidding in her quest to represent Spain with the song Amante de la Luna.
Melody won the Spanish Eurovision 2009, El Retorno online selection beating Soraya into 2nd place. Luka Yexy will be choreographing Melody's performance at the Spanish Eurovision 2009 national final, he will be also working behind Noelia Cano's performance.A set of 5 dancers from his company will be accompanying the Sevillian singer.
As we mentioned earlier Los Vivancos had made an announcement after the 1st Spanish semifinal stating that they would not continue with Melody's Eurovision project. Hence Melody had to look for a new choreographer and set of dancers. Luka Yexy is an experienced choreographer who has been working in the show business since the past 20 years, having worked with UPA Dance, X Factor and various musical, theatrical and television shows.
Melody and her entourage have been working very hard and earnestly in order to come up with a spectacular and dazzling performance. The choreography of Amante de la Luna was created in one day, with touches of Flamenco and acrobatics. Melody will be preparing an eye catching performance for tomorrow's Spanish national final. She expressed that she would have liked to have had more time in order to prepare the staging of her entry. As you all know TVE forwarded the date of the Spanish Eurovision final from the 7th of March to the 28th of February.
TVE will be holding the 3rd semifinal along with the the grand final of Eurovision 2009, El Retorno ( The Spanish Eurovision 2009 national final). The show will be aired live at 22.30 on TVE1 and TVE International Europe via satellite. Viewers in America will be able to see the show on TVE International America 1 and America 2 a little later.
