The Spanish national broadcaster TVE has officially announced the allocation of the 30 competing candidates in their Eurovision national selection Eurovision 2009: El Retorno. Ten acts will compete in each of the 3 semifinals which will kick off on the 14th of February. Melody, one of the hot favourites and the winner of the online Spanish Eurovision national selection will be competing in the 1st semifinal, while Soraya, another favourite, will be competing in the 2nd Semifinal.
We bring you the complete line up of the Spanish semifinals along with the dates and list of particiapating candidates in each show:
1st Semifinal – 14th February 2009
Melody, La La Love You, Normativa Vigente, Vicente Casal, Yulia Valentayn, Noelia Cano, Atalis, Carlos Ferrer EAI, Gran Baobab and La Red de San Luis.
The fifth member of the jury will be elected in the first show as well.
2nd Semifinal – 21st February 2009
Soraya, Roel,Virginia, Jorge González, Calipop, Electronikboy, Diqesi, Leather Boys, Ángeles Vela and Salva Ortega.
3rd Semifinal – 28th February 2009
Santa Fe, El secreto de Álex, Julia Bermejo, Biquini, Solydo, Mirela, Beatriz, Dulce, Isi and Remembrances.
