This year’s Norwegian representative, Agnete Johnsen, has released her official video clip of her Eurovision song Icebreaker.

The video was directed by Sámi singer and director Elle Marja Eira, and filmed in the far north of Norway, close to Agnete’s hometown. Although Agnete was recovering from the flu at the time, she was determined to go ahead and film the video.

It was originally going to be premiered in Norway a few weeks ago in a 40-minute programme on NRK1 devoted entirely to Agnete. Titled Agnete, stjerna fra Nesseby, the programme looked at the life and career thus far of the 21 year old singer, and gave the Norwegian people a new perspective on their 2016 Eurovision contestant.

Agnete was originally supposed to upload her video online for the rest of her fans to watch immediately after this programme, but she was unable to do this due to technical difficulties and contracting a contagious disease. She has now recovered from this, and is planning on resting and recharging her batteries before she travels to Stockholm.

Norway will compete in the second semi-final on Thursday 12th May 2016 with Agnete and her song Icebreaker. They will be the 15th act to take to the stage on the night.
