LIVE

The show has started.

1. Seth Sharp Family

Seth Sharp, who took part last year with various songs, presents one of the few up-tempo songs in this year's Icelandic selection. However, the song is rather repetitive and even the few notes probably don't stick in one's head too long. The performance is kept very simple which is definitely not an advantage. Having said that, it may be questioned if a change of song would have been better than a change of hair colour?

2. Arnar, Edgar, Sverrir and ÓlafurEasy to fool

Now we are in for a very classic country song. Country music has already been part of last year's Icelandic heats with mixed results. The Eurovision Song Contest has only few experiences with this genre – and not very succesful ones. While the song itself can hardly be critised and would fit on any Dolly Parton album, it is still not very likely that this sort of truck driver romantisism would appeal to the average Eurovision voter.

3. Kristín Ósk WiumClose to you

This is by far the most classy song tonight so far and made for smokey bars and nostalgic romantic films. Kristín performs it very well in an authentic and emotional way. The choice of a simple performance with a black outfit and hat (which seeems to be obligatory for this kind of music) probably suits the song the best. Generally and entry that should have very high chances of reaching the national final.

4. Kaja HalldórsdóttirLygin ein

The most interesting entry tonight. All in black leather, Kaja performs a modern disco entry that works well on stage, maybe especially because of the choice of language. Being more progressive than the previous entries tonight, this should have good chances of reaching the national final (while it has to be mentioned that songs in that style were popular in last year's Laugardagslögin, too).

The results will be announced during the second part of the show.

THE WEBCAST IS NOW BACK! Please note that Shaun the Sheep is not in the running for representing Iceland.

Because of a delay in the broadcast, there will probably no live stream of the results tonight.

Results:

Arnar, Edgar, Sverrir and Ólafur & Kaja Halldórsdóttir have reached the final.
