The Russian hopeful released his Eurovision entry You are the only one on Saturday 5 March. The song has gone viral on Youtube achieving more than 5  million views in less than a month. The song got 1 million views in just 24 hours!

Eurovision pundits are predicting that the Russian superstar will bag the trophy come May and bring the Eurovision bandwagon on Russian soil for the second time. Are we heading to Sochi, St. Peterburg or Moscow?

Sergey Lazarev was selected via an internal selection in order to fly the Russian flag in Stockholm. The internationally acclaimed Eurovision Dream Team consisting of Dimitris Kontopoulos, Fokas Evagelinos and Philip Kirkorov are behind the 2016 Russian entry.

The 2016 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 10, 12 and 14 May at the Globe Arena.
