Spanish media seems to be obsessed with the appearance of Beth at the Eurovision stage in Riga. During a recent press conference, Beth expressed her feelings towards the upcoming event and what she would be willing to sacrifice.

“I just invested in my dreadlooks and they will keep being a part of me”, was Beth's own answer to the numerous of questions related to her future appearance. Beth could hardly desire a more supporting attitude from the broadcaster TVE: “We will respect Beth's choices of cloths, choreography, backing singers and style”, Jordi Bosh said, the secretary-general of TVE. Some fans have already expressed their concerns related to what will happen in the case she will be free to choose her backing singers all by herself. Will she value friendship higher than artistic qualities?

Concerning the song she will represent Spain with in Riga, Beth was far from being enthusiastic: “Out of the three songs, 'Dime' was the one I least preferred, I have no problem in admitting that. But I like the song more and more, towards the festival it will be adjusted several times, slowly getting closer to my own style.” Beth believes Dime, which means Tell me, won because it's the most appropriate song for the festival, mainly due to a more modern style than the two other entries. More uptempo, more catchy, a song you will like instantly. Beth's two other songs were entitled Cerrando heridas and La vida sin ti.

José Luis Uribarri, who has been the Spanish Eurovision commentator for a generation already, stated that he is willing to do the job in Riga as well. He wanted to retire from the job two years ago, but overwhelming support convinced him to continue just somewhat longer.
