ESCToday in collaboration with the City of Stockholm will be bringing you a series of articles leading up to the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in order to showcase and introduce the 2016 Eurovision host city Stockholm to our readers. Today we will have a look at the Gay clubs and bars in Swedish capital.
Stockholm is one of the world’s favourite and hottest Gay and Lesbian destinations. The Swedish capital is an open city, thus there is no specific gay neighbourhood. The gay and lesbian scene aka the clubs, bars and cafés are spread out throughout the city.
Most of the gay clubs and bars can be found in Gamla Stan (old city) and Södermalm. Some of the nightclubs don’t have a specific location, as they open on different days and use various locations as venues.
Gay Bars
Bitter Pills is a restaurant and bar transforming Hornstull from hipster to queer.

Mälarpaviljongen is one of Stockholm’s hottest and most popular LGBT spots. Exquisitely located on Kungsholmen’s riverbank overlooking Lake Malaren, Mälarpaviljongen is a great place to dine and wine and meet up with locals. The place has a fantastic ambiance and a trendy crowd.

Torget is one of the oldest gay bars in town aptly located in Gamla Stan.

Urban Deli is a restaurant and bar with a hip mixed crowd on the menu.

Side Track The bar in the basement is said to be the oldest gay bar in town.

Hotellhänget Join the hotel bar hopping nights with the girls liking girls.

The Secret Garden Share your secrets over a drink at the outdoor terrace Gamla Stan.

Morfar Ginko is a trendy bar for drinks, ping-pong, quiz and gay friendly attitude.

Gay Clubs
Jungle Jane is the club for all kinds of girls where the city’s best lesbian DJs are playing every Friday.

Club King Kong A jungle rhythm is beating at bohemian söders gay corner Mariatorget. The club has 2 dance floors. King Kong will be hosting a series of Eurovision parties during the Eurovision period from 10-14 May.

WONK is the gayest gay bar in town! It is one of the most popular clubs of its kind in Stockholm and is well known for its great parties and ambiance. Fabulous atmosphere and awesome music. You won’t stop dancing once you enter this club. WONK’s hot bare chested barmen are one of the highlights of the club, eye candy for the visitor!

Candy Get your Friday Candy at the biggest gay bar in town. Candy is the perfect place to party on a Friday night! The club has 3 dance floors and plays house, 80’s and 90’s hits, RnB, schlager, hip-hop music.

Moxy The nightclub attracts thousands of women of different ages and styles, all in the mood for dancing. Moxy is one of the most popular Lesbian spots in town!

LOL party hard to the hashtag #lesbiansoutload at Hornhuset.

SLM is the fetish club Scandinavian Leather Men for men only.
Address: Wollmar Yxkullsgatan 18, Södermalm.
Mums Mums is the queer club mixing fun and fabulous together with house music and extravaganza, directed by the gay icon Petter Wallenberg.

Trädgården is the place for young open minds having fun all night under the hipster stars.

Mondays at Victoria Very popular on Mondays and it is the most happening place in town on the first day of the week!
