MKTV have announced the names of the artists participating this year in Skopje fest, FYR Macedonia's preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
The next representative of FYR Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest will be decided in February. The 32 acts will fight it out in two semi finals on 19th and 20th February, eight from each one will proceed to the final on 21st February. The same voting system will be used in all three events, 50-50 televote and jury vote. Each of the twelve members of the jury will announce their points live Eurovision style.
Among the participants we see Aleksandar Belov, who is currently competing in the Serbian Operacija Trijumf and is leading a long running poll on mmm.com.mk. Risto Samardjiev, the runner up of last year's Skopje fest returns once more as well as Vlatko Ilievski. Andrijana Janevska won the 2001 edition of Skopje fest 2001 with Nostalgija and also took part the year before as well as Verce Pandilovska. Nade Talevska performed backing vocals for Tamara, Vrcak and Adrian in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest and Vlatko Lozanovski won the 2008 edition of Makfest.
