Emilija Kokic, winner of the 1989 Eurovision Song Contest as part of Riva, who also co-hosted Dora 2006 and tried her luck in the Croatian preselection in 2008, has just released a new song which make come as a surprise to her fans as it is in a style quite different to her usual one.
"The song makes me happy", says Emilija, because this is my little trip to the world of samba, and the message that we all take off the mask, to dance and to love". Vatromet boja, Emilija Kokic's new song was composed by Marko Tomasovic, the lyrics written by Emilija Kokic, and the arrangement was made by Davor Devcic. "The song was created completely spontaneously. Emilija called me and said that there is a call from Mr. Andrej Baasha of Rijeka carnival, and that in her head there was a text for the song that is very appropriate for the occasion" said Marko Tomasovic, "Emilija and I tend to experiment and we have worked with many variations of popular music in our careers, I think this is a great opportunity to try an entirely new "package" of Emilia, which of course means a lot of dancing on stage and several dancers joining Emilija there. "
