Malta will have the national final for 2002 on February 15 and 16.
Song for Europe 2002 will have three adjudication phases. The first phase will take place from 14 to 16 November. In this phase 10 persons of Maltese nationality will listen to the competing songs and select thirty six for a shortlist. The thirty six songs will then be performed live in front of a judging panel on December 10. This will select sixteen songs for the Song For Europe final next February.
The broadcasting company said that the viewers will have more influence this year.
