LIVE

The show has now started…

All tonights come together to do a group performance of Abba's 1974 hit Waterloo.

Graham explains tonights voting procedure… tonight Andrew is joined by his Eurovision advisors, Lulu who represented the UK at Eurovision and choreographer Arlene Phillips.

Now to the acts, Graham reminds us that the two acts in the bottom two according to the public vote face the "Danger Zone" while it will be upto Andrew to decide which act is safe and which act will go home.

First up…

ACT 1: Emperors of Soul singing Love train by the Oj's

Five performers each with a grey suit on but with different coloured shirts. They're performance is very much Mo-town in type with excellent synchronised choreography. They now work the audience by getting them all to clap along.

Now to the judging panel.
Andrew: I'm glad to see you we're able to sing as individuals. A Man band as opposed to a Boyband
Arlene: They can dance! They can deliver the whole package.

ACT 2: Mark singing Wasting my time by Paul Young

Solo performance dressed in black trousers and a black waist coat with white shirt. He is joined by four female dancers wearing red coats and black mini skirts. Somewhat dull performance.

Andrew: Whats the welsh for nil point? You were very good, a very charasmatic performance.
LuLu: very controlled voice and if you could give that performace at Eurovision, then there will be no problem.

ACT 3: Charlotte singing Because of You by Kelly Clarkson

Solo performance of a ballad. Dressed in a short green dress. The performance comes across abit nervy, nothing special. She works the stage well though for a 17 yr old girl.

Andrew: You pulled it off extraordinarily well.
Lulu: You pulled it out of the bag I know you we're nervous at the beginning of the week but you did it well.

ACT 4: Damien singing How am I supposed to live without you by Michael Bolton

Solo performance, dressed in black trousers with a purple shirt. He sings this song with passion and determination. Comes across excellently on camera. The audience give a clap during the song due to his powerful performance.

Andrew: You connect with the audience well but I wonder for charizma. Will Europe vote for you?
Lulu: Your voice gave me goosebumps.

ACT 5: The Twins sing you've got a friend by Carole King.

The twins are dressed in matching white dresses with black strips, they sing this song as a duet. Really "sweet" performance.

Andrew: The harmony is magic for you, the UK public might like it but will Europe?
Arlene: They havn't got the best voices.
Lulu: Everyone's fasinated with twins but will it work in Europe?

ACT 6: Jade singing Deja Vu by Beyonce.

Dressed in a skimpy sparking dress, Jade is joined by 4 backing female dancers. Very classy and works the crowd really well. Also she looks like Beyonce also.

Andrew: Most impressive first time performace i've seen excellent. I dunno whether to write a ballad or group song for you with backing dancers. Excellent!
Arlene: You are the new Beyonce! Brilliant!

All the acts have performed…

Andrew: We've seen 6 talented acts they we're brilliant

The voting lines are now open for 20 minutes…

Recap of songs.

We're now backstage with Graham and Andrew talking with the acts. Graham quizzes them on how they are finding their experience so far.

We now see a videoclip of the girls meeting Andrew during the week for rehearsals and for him to get to know them and their vocal ability for him to write the UK's Eurovision song.

We now learn that Diane Warren will write the lyrics of the song while Andrew will compose it.

We now see the girls perfrom "one rocking role too many" in a group performance.

We now see a videoclip of the boys meeting Andrew during the week for rehearsals and for him to get to know them and their vocal ability for him to write the UK's Eurovision song.

We now see the boys perfrom "no matter what" by Boyzone in a group performance.

A special guest, Lemar joins Graham on the couch and he quizzes him on tonights show.

Another video clip is shown where Andrew takes the acts to the O2 arena with a capacity of 20,000 to see the size of arena they would have to sing in. Lulu joins them to give them encouragement. Each of the acts do a practice performance on stage to an empty stadium.

Arlene: Each act must practice and perform on stage in a sense that the audience feel that the song is being performed for them individually.
