According to a poll aimed at the Icelandic people by the website hugi.is, the song Eurovísa” performed by the rock band Botnleja is on its way to Riga in May.

Botnleja leads the poll at the moment with no less then 41% of the total votes, and as we close in on this weekend's final, it seems as if no other artist will be able to compete with them.

Birgitta Haukdal, the performer of song 6 Segu mér allt is 2nd with 28% of the 1300 votes cast, up until this point. As Eurovísa's popularity continues to expand, the question we face is, will anyone be able to stop them on the night of the event? Only time will tell.

It should be pointed out however, that Internet polls can be notoriously inaccurate.
