Swedish national broadcaster, SVT, will announce the host of the 2009 Melodifestivalen competition during a press conference tomorrow. The role as host of the competition is seen as one of the most prestigious entertainment roles in Swedish television.
For the last two years, Kristian Luuk, a comedy and entertainment host, has held the position. Traditionally, the show has a different host every year, and it was a credit to his style that he was asked to carry on for a second year.
Before Kristian Luuk, Lena Philipsson hosted the series in 2006, and in 2005 fellow former winner Jill Johnson hosted the show with Mark Levengood.
