The third annual esctoday.com awards have taken off with a bang this week, with over six thousand votes being registered in the first day. As fans flock to have their say on the year that was, you now have your chance to vote on the Eurovovision Song Contest, the national finals and take a look back at the year that was as we prepare for a new season and the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest.

Sweden's Hero was saved by the jury at Melodfestivalen, the jury in the Eurovision Song Contest, and the readers during the nominations poll. Can Charlotte Perrelli deliver the biggest award of them all for Sweden for the first time, after Carola missed out in 2006 by a single vote?
