On October 8th 2008, Swedish singer and songwriter Sonja Aldén, best known for her participation in Melodifestivalen 2007 with the immensely popular ballad För att du finns, released her second studio album Under mitt tak. The album has been receiving critical acclaim in Sweden and confirms her as one of the country's leading singers.
Sonja's second album is made up full of a mixture of ballads and mid-temposongs, many of which Sonja has written herself and in cooperation with other recognised songwriters includingBobby Ljunggren, Bo Reimer, Jörgen Ingeström, Hugo Björk and Marcos Ubeda. Being a straight-from-the- heart singer and songwriter, she gets her listeners to slow down for a while in order to get totally lost into the music and take some time to reflect and philosophise.
The artist has already confirmedthat she will not participate in Melodifestivalen 2009 but is keen on returning to the competition again in the future. She has recently recorded a christmas album with fellow former Melodifestivalen favourites, Sanna Nielsen and Shirley Clamp that is now available for pre-order.
