The production team of the first preselection of the Dutch Nationaal Songfestival 2003 gave a statement on the critical messages they received over the past week.
According to many, the sound of the show was bad. No problems accured in the studio, but on television the signal from the venue in Nijkerk mixed with the radio signal of Radio 2. The installation that submits the signal is very close to Nijkerk. The producers apologised and said that for the next show, tomorrow, precautions have been taken.
The producers also react on the comments on the jury. They pointed out that the jury in the show is not the selection team and that the show can not be compared with Idols, which is on air at the same time and has three times more viewers. “The preselections can not be compared with Idols. It's not the same format and the programmes have totally different intentions”, they said.
The next preselection takes place tomorrow, esctoday.com will be present again!
