The sixth edition of the OGAE Greece annual festival will be taking place tomorrow, Saturday 18 October, at the Athinaion Politeia, under the Acropolis in Athens. This year's festival, hosted by “Russia” who won the 2007 edition with Ot rasluki do ljubwi by Valeriya, will be presented once more by popular Greek actor, presenter, screenwriter and dedicated Eurofan Giorgos Kapoutzidis.
Over one hundred OGAE Greece members, divided in 25 delegations will be fighting it out this year with a song from their respective countries for the Mple 2009 prize. Among them, many (non Eurovision) songs by popular Eurostars such as Alenka Gotar, Anna Vissi, The Beauty Queens, Martin Stenmarck and Paolo Meneguzzi. The songs will be presented through videos, especially made for the occasion by Antreas Kalatzis, and voting will take place the usual Eurovision style.
This year's OGAE Greece festival is dedicated to Rena Vlachopoulou, a beloved actress for Greeks of all ages and it will be hosted by Giorgos Kapoutzidis, one of the most successful screenwriters in the country, who was also the commentator for the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest. Special guests for the evening will be Bessie Argyraki (Greece 1977 with Mathema Solfege) and Marianna Efstratiou (Greece 1989, 1996)
