This year's edition of the Eurofest Croatia annual party, Rock Me International, was held on 26th September in Rabac and it was a great success.

Maja Blagdan, the 1996 Croatian representative, was the guest of honour at the event. Maja performed for 40 minutes for the audience, closing her show with Sveta ljubav, her Eurovision entry which placed 4th in Oslo. The first night of the party continued in good spirits, with a lot of fun, games and euromusic!

On Saturday, an entire range of competitions took place, such as the association's assembly meeting and other, far more interesting like "The best Eurovision ballad" poll, "The best DORA song" poll, the Eurovision quiz, as well as the games' finals.
And this is the verdict of the OGAE Croatia members and guests:
Best Eurovision ballad: Mocedades: Eres tú (Spain 1973) and Best DORA song ever (1993-2008) Magazin-Cronika: Hrvatska rapsodija (Croatian rhapsody) (DORA 2000)
The Eurovision quiz winner was Reinhard Fimmers from Germany. The winners of the games were Miran Cvetko (Slovenia), Berislav Kovacevic and Marina Legvart (Croatia).
The highlight of the evening was, once more, the famous Bana Bana (parody show or the impersonation contest). This year's winner is Tomislav Krizmanić (Croatia). He won by a landslide, with Vanna's song Strings of My Heart. Saturday's evening was marked by the White Party, where everyone had to be dressed in white.

After the success of the party, the organisers promise a bigger, better event for next year.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
