According to the website jonkoping.se DeDe will replace Nathalie Family in the first preselection of the Swedish national final Melodifestivalen.
As esctoday.com reported earlier, Nathalie Family was disqualified because the singer was too young. DeDe, privately known as Denise Lopez, will now sing the song Someone, somewhere, someday, written by Peter Ågrenwill and Mattias Holmlund.
DeDe has released three albums since 1994 and has worked with such artists as Dr. Alban, Melody MC and Culture Beat.
