As the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest winner's tour continues, after Helsinki, Dima Bilan headed to Stockholm and Oslo, where he had hardly any time to rest moving from one scheduled appearance to the next.
Dima Bilan is currently covering the Scandinavian part of the winner's tour, which will take him to a total of eight countries until the 3rd June. Dima visited Helsinki where he together with Edvin Marton and his Stradivarius performed at the Stockmann shopping mall, next to the 2007 Euroclub for hundreds of excited fans of the Russian idol.
Straight after Helsinki, Dima boarded a private plane, which took him to Sweden where more activities were scheduled for him. After a short rest, the team visited the Kista galleria, one of Stockholm's largest shopping malls where he performed his winning entry, Believe, for hundreds of local fans. Edvin Marton, the Hungarian violinist, revealed that the precious instrument that accompanied Dima on stage at the Beogradska Arena has been insured for the astounding sum of $ 4,000,000. Afterwards, Dima performed once more during a popular monthly Eurovision party at Restaurant Victoria.
This morning was reserved for more media appearances and a web chat for Dima. During the chat, Dima was asked why in his opinion he managed to win this time and not back in 2006, in Athens: "I have more fans now, as I released more material in English. But I also changed myself. The song is of course important, and the act was original and professional", Dima explained. One fan asked Dima what is the meaning of life for him: "It is about moving forward. Never stop. Not just in your carreer, but also in life itself." He said.
Afterwards, the entire group flied to their next destination, Oslo, where he is scheduled to meet with Maria, this year's Norwegian representative who stole the hearts of Europe with her song, Hold on, be strong. Public appearances started for Dima as soon as he landed in Norway, a short hour after taking off from Sweden when he was met by a TV Norge camera crew. This afternoon, Dima will be a guest of the afternoon show of TV2.
