The finale of two weeks of rehearsals and press conferences is nearly here, and in just a few hours we will know the victor of the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. Before the fun gets under way, it is time to reveal the results of the Big Poll 2008, and see how fans expect the contest to wind up tonight.

As expected, the two big bookmakers’ favourites sit at the top of the tree, with Ukraine’s Ani Lorak predicted to pip Russia’s Dima Bilan to the post for first place. Serbia, Sweden and Greece join them in the top five. It is worth noting that the esctoday.com Big Poll has correctly predicted three out of the last four winners, the only exception being Lordi's surprise victory at the Athens contest of 2006.

Three of the Big Four are predicted to fall to the bottom of the pile once again, with only Spain managing to crawl up to a meagre 20th position above Latvia and Croatia.

Additionally, the statistics reveal that Latvia and Croatia are the countries least likely to win, according to fans, while the UK and France are predicted most likely to finish in last place.
