Spanish television has announced that there will be changes to the format of the Spanish National Final Operacion Triunfo. Unlike last year, in which the final was spread over three weeks on each Monday, there will only be one selection show, for which the voting period will last seven days.

The Spanish national final of 2003 will be organised during the live show of Operación Triunfo to be held on 10 February, where the three winners of the series each will perform a number of songs. Exactly how many is yet to be revealed. Last year, each of the three artists performed three songs, making up a total of nine entries. After the performances, viewers will have one entire week to make up their minds: Which song they prefer as well as which artist they want to see representing Spain in the Latvian capital.

The website EurosongSpain.com also reported that the live show to be broadcast on 3 February will be a special one, where the three winners of each of the two first editions of Operación Triunfo will meet winners from other international versions of the Spanish show.
