In the final night of the current series of The Late Late Show hosted by Pat Kenny, on May 30th, the Irish public will get to decide who will represent Ireland in this year's Eurovision Dance Contest.

The 46th season of The Late Late Show comes to the end and once again it's been a hugely successful series with guests such as Bono, Elle McPherson, and Russell Brand appearing on the show along with musical acts such as Leona Lewis and Michael Buble and topical debate about the issues of the day.

In a press release published by RTÉ:

"As always the series plans to finish on a high note and the Friday May 30th show is no exception with a particular Eurovision theme to the show. The Irish puplic will be asked to select Ireland's entry to this year's Eurovision Dance Contest whichwilltake place in Septemberin Glasgow. This isthe second year of thecontest and last year Ireland succeeded in coming3rd thanks to a brilliant performance byNicola Byrne and Mick Donegan.

On the show four couples, each made up of a well-known face and a professional dancer, will battle it out to secure a place in this year's competition, andthe public will be asked to vote for their favourite performance."

Show starts at 22:30 CET (21:30 local time) on RTÉ ONE television.

Finally this year's Eurovision Song Contest 2008 winner will be flying in to perform their winning song.
