The first day of the second round of rehearsals continue and this afternoon, Moldova, San Marino and Belgium will complete their first technical rehearsals and press conferences. Soing 4 Moldova – Geta Burlacu –A Century of Love
Barefoot Moldovan Geta is sitting on a sofa to start this atmospheric number. She is wearing a elegant purple outfit with red and white silk scarves. The trumpeter is asleep on the sofa at the start and then Geta wakes him up and breaks into a jazz riff. The wind machine is put into good use a wind machine. Geta has a strong jazzy voice which perfectly matches the mood of this song.
Song 5: San Marino – Miodio – Complice
Another atmospheric number, this time from San Marino gave who give an impressiveperformance of their song at this afternoon's rehearsals. Strong vocals from lead singer Nicola Delle Velle matches the orchestration of the song which allows the the song to develop beautifully. Miodio use a balletic female dancer, dressed in black and white who relates with the lead singer during the song without causing any distracting. The performance is relatively gimmick free and the strong vocal performance from the lead singer is the the selling point of the entry. The band are all dressed in black and white.
Song 6: Belgium – Ishtar – O Julisi
After an embarrassing moment early in the rehearsal as reported earlier, Ishtar pulled off a great second rehearsal. Dressed in her red and white dress, the lead singer increased in confidence throughout the rehearsal. The song is sounding strong and her movements around the stage seem more fluid than in the first rehearsal.
