With a clear advantage over the other artists, the professional jury of the Spanish Operación Triunfo academy chose Manuel Carrasco (pictured) and Beth to go straight forward to the next step of the series. Their third choice was Miguel Nández. Nika had to leave the academy tonight, while Hugo was saved with 55% of the televoters behind him.

As a special feature in this edition, the Spanish jury members gave each of the seven remaining artists a personal mark on a scale of one to ten. These varied between 7.8 and 9.6. Manuel Carrasco was the lucky one to receive the highest mark, while Joan Tena was the target for the lowest mark.

The jury's verdict was as follows:

1. Manuel Carrasco – average mark: 9.367 (9.6 – 9.5 – 9.5 – 9.5 – 9.4 – 8.7)
2. Beth – average mark: 9.333 (9.5 – 9.5 – 9.4 – 9.4 – 9.2 – 9)
3. Miguel Nández – average mark: 8.867 (9.2 – 9.2 9 – 8.8 – 8.7 – 8.3)
4. Ainhoa – average mark: 8.8 (9.5 9 – 8.8 – 8.7 – 8.6 – 8.2)

5. Joan Tena – average mark: 8.683 (9.3 – 8.8 – 8.8 – 8.7 – 8.7 – 7.8)
6. Hugo – average mark: 8.533 (8.8 – 8.8 – 8.7- 8.6 – 8.4 – 7.9)
6. Tony Santos – average mark: 8.533 (9.1 – 8.9 – 8.7 – 8.7 – 7.9 – 7.9)

Today's task of the professional jury was to let three of the artists progress the next step of the series, these finally turned out to be Manuel Carrasco, Beth and Miguel Nández. Afterwards, the teachers chose for Hugo, while the contestents opted for Ainhoa. Something which means that Joan Tena and Tony Santos became the two artists who the viewers will have to decide between during the next seven days. It is no secret that the result of this fight should alsmost be considered decided one week before the actual announcement, as Tony Santos has been the televoters' favourite of all the 17 Operación Triunfo participants during most of the live shows.
