The first day of rehearsals are now underway and this morning, Montenegro, Israel, Estonia nad Moldova will complete their first technical rehearsals and press conferences. You can read the reviews below from the rehearsals and later today, our media partner, 12points.tv will provide video footage.

Song 1: Montenegro: Zauvijek volim te

Stepfan Filiovic was the first performer to take the stage on the stunning Eurovision stage this morning. Appearing with four female backing dancers gave a strong vocal performance for this song Zauvijek Voliim Te. Stephan performs in front of the stage for the first half of the song, is joined for the second half for some interesting interaction which includes him recieving a facial slap from one of his backing singers.

Song 2: Israel: Fire in your eyes

Lights are turned down as Boaz Mauda walks onto the stage for the second song this morning. He sings the first verse on his own and is latter joined by five male backing singers. The rendition of Boaz Mauda has a more ethnic and instrumental feel that it did in the Kdam this year. The five singers harmonise very well with Boaz's vocals. The song is performed in Hebrew throughout apart from one line in English. During the latter half of the song there is plenty of movement around the stage by the backing singers. They all join Boaz at the front of the stage in group formation for the final lines of the song.

Song 3: Estonia: Leto Svet

The blonde backing dancers are on stage waving the Serbian flag from the off, and expect the crowd to take to them very quickly. The stage goes rastafarian with gold red and green flashing everywhere. The boards featuring cakes and other foods are also there. The band jump and prance around the stage shouting the song rather than singing and the grand finale features a cheerleading style finish with a pyramid of blondes above our slightly oversized gentlemen.
The colourcheck revealed that the band's jackets will be cream orange and blue. In all, most of the performance mirrors the victorious strategy from Eurolaul, but the quality on the Eurovision stage appears to have slipped a little.

Song 4- Moldova – Geta Burlacu – A Century of Love

Geta starts her song by sitting on a couch whilst a man with a trumpet in hand is seated next to her on the floor. No other performers are on the stage for this song. Plenty of neon lights are displayed on the screen behind the two performers to great effect. The musical structure of the song has been changed to include some additional jazz elements, as well as chance key chance to increased temp of the song for the last section. The song finishes with Geta being wrapped in a blanket by her male companion whilst sitting costly on the couch. Presentation of this song has greatly improved from the performance in the Moldovan National final.
