On Saturday June 14th, the Dutch Eurovision Artists foundation will hold the annual Dutch convention, De zomermiddag. This year, this convention will be held in Woudenberg, (partycentre Schimmel). The guest stars of the convention will be Maxine & Franklin Brown, who represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996 with De eerste keer.

The convention starts at 12.30 CET and will last until 17.00 CET. Next to Maxine & Franklin Brown, Michelle (who represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2001 with Out on my own) and several artists that took part in the Nationaal Songfestival in the past will perform on stage. The latter group consists of the group Vulcano (1983, 1984), Anja Wessels (2004) and Judith Jobse (2004).

Next to all the performances, a record fair and a quiz will be held and the annual EA-Award will be presented to the winner.

The event will be hosted by two former Eurovision participants. Mandy Huydts (who was part of Frizzle Sizzle in 1986) and Marjolein Spijkers (who was part of Mrs. Einstein in 1997) will be the hosts of the afternoon.

The price of entrance to De zomermiddag is €20,00 (€15,00 for members), which can be paid at the door of the venue. An itinerary to this venue can be found on the website of Schimmel (see the related links on the right).
