Maurice Gibb, who became famous as member of the popular Bee Gees, died at the age of 53 after heart problems. The BBC made that public yesterday.
In 1969 he was present at the Eurovision Song Contest in Madrid, when he came to support his partner, at that time, Lulu. He also produced the fourth album of Carola Häggkvist.
In 1990 the Bee Gees got an American Lifetime Achiefment Award, a Brit Award and a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
