Nico & Vlad, the Romanian representatives in Eurovision Song Contest 2008, returned from UK and Belgium, the last two countries of the promotional tour for the song Pe-o margine de lume, their entry in Eurovision 2008, at Belgrade.
Thus, on April 25th, the two Romanian artists were invited by esctoday.com to take part to ”UK Eurovision Preview Party”, a big event organized in Scala Club from London. Together with other Eurovision stars, Nico & Vlad stepped on the stage and were applauded even before starting to sing. Besides the song “Pe-o margine de lume”, the two also oferred the audience a famous duet of Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion, “The Prayer”. It was a good occasion for the public to sing along with Nico & Vlad, as they could not sing the Romanian lyrics of the first song.
From the 26th to the 28th of April, Nico & Vlad spent promoting their song in Belgium. They first arrived in Anvers, where they participated to a series of events organised by eurosong.be. The Romanians sustained a press conference and offered many interviews. An important event was the meeting with the Mayor of Anvers, during the reception from the City Hall, where they had been invited.
The first day was spent in Brussels, where Nico & Vlad had been invited by the Belgian-Romanian Association, for a concert. A special show was held outdoors, in St. Catherine’s square, where Nico & Vlad performed along with other Eurovision contestants: Dima Bilan (Russia), Ani Lorak (Ukraine), Rebecca (Slovenia), Helena (Serbia), Sirusho (Armenia) and Laka (Bosnia & Hertzegovina).
On April 28th, the two Romanian artists were the guests of a live show at the TVL station from Hasselt, a very honouring invitation, as Nico & Vlad were the only Eurovision contestants who participated to that show.
Nico & Vlad confessed that the nice people they met offered them an unforgetable trip and the fantastic warmth and appreciation they received from the fans not only made them feel great, but fully compensated the lack of friends and families from home.
