Popular Maltese local festival Gozo 1234, apart from a host of local stars, will also see this year two former Eurovision Song Contest past participants, Spanish boyband D'Nash and Romanian Mihai Traistariu who will be flying to Malta to join in the festivities.
Held in the first four days of May, the Gozo festival, which attracted over 650.000 visitors last year, promises to be an exciting experience with something for everyone to do and enjoy. The festival will feature "a rich mixture of culture, history, music, food, drama, sport and dance, apart from the fireworks festival which will include fireworks from Malta, Gozo, Denmark and Italy." says Lou Bondi of Burning Spear, organisers of the festival.
According to partner site ogaemalta.com, popular boyband D'Nash, who represented Spain in the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest as well as Mihai Traistariu who placed fourth in the 2006 contest for Romania, will be joining Morena (Malta 2008), Miriam Christine (Malta 1996) and Claudia Faniello (Maltasong 2007, 2008) on the Gozo festival stage this year.
