It is with great pleasure that we can announce that esctoday.com has successfully moved to a new webhost. UKFast.net have stepped forward to help us improve the service we provide to our readers, with the ability to handle much more traffic and avoid the regular crashes that occur in peak times.
UKFast have offered us a fantastic solution that mean esctoday.com can finally move to a hosting facility that will allow us to deal with the sharp demand peaks related to the Eurovision Song Contest and national finals and stay online without crashing.
Whilst the deal does mean a substantial increase in costs, we will now be able to step up our attempts to find a site sponsor. In the mean time, we still rely heavily on team and reader donations to remain online.
UKFast said "It’s fantastic when voluntary projects like esctoday.com achieve such phenomenal online success. Here at UKFast we’re thrilled to be able to help them enhance their online presence even further.”
Whilst the move has taken place quickly and with great success, we know that there are likely to be some teething issues, as several parts of the site have had to be upgraded behind the scenes in order to work on the new server. If you have any problems using the site, please email [email protected] to report the problem so that we can resolve it immediately.
