Harun Tekin, Kerem Özyeğen, Burak Güven and Kerem Kabadayi, the four members of Mor ve otesi arrived in Athens, the first stop of their extensive promo tour during which they will crisscross Europe until they fly to Belgrade to represent Turkey in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest.
This morning, Mor ve otesi appeared on one of the most popular morning shows on Greek TV, Omorfos kosmos, and afterwards were taken to the Athens Plaza hotel in the center of Athens where a special press conference was scheduled by the Turkish embassy and ERT. For four hours, the band met and were interviewed by members of the most popular media. Kalomira, the Greek representative in the contest, arrived a little later to return the band the warm welcome they gave her during her recent visit in Turkey, last week. Kalomira was really enthusiastic about her trip to Istanbul. She was thrilled by the warm reception of the Turkish public and media and the fact that she was actually recognised in the street after her appearances on Turkish TV.
Today, Mor ve otesi will be appearing on Kous kous, Alpha channel's talk show as well as many radio shows. In the evening, Kerem Kabadayi, the band's drummer, will be attending a special party by Synaspismos, the Greek left wing party.
The band have updated their special Eurovision website with the lyrics of Deli in 8 languages, English, Turkish, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Serbian and Greek.
In a very special interview with the band we got to know more about them, their hopes and views on the contest and life, Deli and its presentation in Belgrade as well as the effect a possible joke entry victory would have on the participation of more serious artists in the contest in the future.
