James Fox, the UK representative in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest, will release a new single to celebrate Cardiff City Football Club's success in reaching the final of the FA Cup.

The song Bluebirds flying high is written and performed by James Fox, who finished in 16th position in the 2004 contest with Hold onto our love. Bluebirds flying high, best described as a football anthem, is being played on local radio stations in Wales as part of the build up to the official release on May 5th and ahead of the FA Cup final against Portsmouth on May 17th.

James is a Season sicket holder and has been watching Cardiff City since 1983. Commenting on the song James said, "It really was a proud moment for me getting to put together the song and being able to work with the club. I wrote the song before we got to the final, but Peter Ridsdale (chairman of Cardiff City) wouldn't look at anything until we got there. I played the song to Peter and he loved it so it was all systems go and I hope all the Bluebirds fans buy this record on May 5th and you never know wouldn't it be great to get to number one and lift the cup this is what dreams are made of."

Since appearing in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest, James has developed a successful career in musical theatre with appearances in the UK as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar and has been touring the USA as the leading role in the Billy Joel's musical Movin' Out over the past three years.
