Kalomira and Gisela, the two ladies representing Greece and Andorra respectively in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest met yesterday in Athens where Gisela spent two days promoting her entry, Casanova, on the Greek media.

Giselahad a very busy schedule, arranged by ERT, the Greek broadcaster, on Tuesday, giving interviews to all major Greek TV channels and enjoyed major coverage in most morning shows. Gisela and Kalomira met and seemed to hit it off immediately as the two ladies got to chat like old friends from the first second they met. All this comes out in our little video interview where we asked them for a special favour, to sing each other's song exclusively for our readers.

Mert, a Turkish schoolboy and a huge fan of Kalomira, asked us to pass a message to her when we next met her. And so we did! Kalomira was only too happy to answer and send her love to Mert and his schoolmates. The popular Greek singer will be in Turkey today for 3 days in the third stop of her promo tour after Azerbaijan and Romania. Next she will be travelling to Bosnia and Herzegovina before leaving for Belgrade to fly the flag for Greecein the first semi final on 20 May.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain. I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
