The Norwegian representaive at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, Maria Haukaas Storeng, has recently signed a major record deal with Universal Music. Maria will release her latest album before she participates in Belgrade.
'Hold On, Be Strong' is currently number 1 in the Norwegian Radio Chart, It will also appear on Maria's forthcoming album, The album title is yet to be announced. Mira Craig, the songwriter of 'Hold On, Be Strong' has also worked with Maria on a number of other tracks for the new album.
Maria stated "Its unbelievable! I didn't dear to dream for it to happen" and continued "Finally i get to release the music I've been working on for such a long time. I've been writing songs for 2 years, so it feels great to get this opportunity now!"
Maria will participate in the first Semi Final on 20th May, in Belgrade.
