One year after Yassou Maria, Sarbel, the 2007 Greek representative in the Eurovision Song Contest, is currently in studio working on his next album which will be released in the beginning of May. Many more Greek Eurostars have also announced that they will be releasing new albums during Eurovision month, among them the 2005 winner, Helena Paparizou, Greece's super star Anna Vissi and this year's representative, Kalomira.

Echo trellathei (I have lost my mind), the first single from Sarbel's forthcoming album was performed for the first time during the Greek final in February. Last week, Sarbel concluded the video clip for this first single and you can watch behind the scenes footage below.

Sarbel is not the only Greek Eurostar to be releasing a new album in May. Helena Paparizou, Christos Dantis, Kalomira as well as Anna Vissi are all preparing to release new CD during May this year, according to the largest music channel in Greece, Mad TV.

Helena Paparizou, who won the Eurovision Song Contest for Greece in 2005 will be releasing her new album towards the end of May. The album is being recorded in Greece and Sweden and it will be produced by Niclas Olausson and Tony Mavridis. The first single from the album is expected to be released in the beginning of this month. Christos Dantis, the composer of My Number one, will also be releasing his new rock album in May, the songs will be his own compositions and the lyrics will be by Eleanna Vrachali and Vaggelis Constantinidis. After a long break from the studios Anna Vissi will soon be returning with the release of an international album in collaboration with the Maple Music Jam Group, produced by Robin DiMaggio. According to Robin's MySpace, Glenn Ballard, Diane Warren και Brian Haus have contributed songs to Anna's forthcoming album.

Last but not least, this year’s Greek hope in the Eurovision Song Contest, Kalomira will be releasing her fourth album in May as well, alongside her preparations for Belgrade. The popular singer has stated that her fans can expect an Rn’B album, more mature than her previous works.
