DJ Balthazar and Deep Zone, who will be representing Bulgaria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, are in preparations for the staging of their song DJ Take me away. The show promises to be spectacular and the song itself is about to be released worlwide. The brand new video clip of the Bulgarian entry has been concluded and it features lead singer Joanna wearing nothing but body paint.
Dj Take me away was created especially for the contest and it has already entered the MTV World Chart Express, at #2. Very soon it will be distributed internationally by Dutch company ToCo International, who have also released for 2 Unlimited, Technotronic, DJ BoBo as well as Eurovision Song Contest winner Dave Benton (Estonia 2001).
After their victory in the Bulgarian final, DJ Balthazar and Deep zone launched a nation wide tour which was marked by an impressive kick off. The band flew to the starting point of their tour "Welcome to the Loop 2" in a balloon. The tour attracted more than 30.000 people in its 20 stops all over clubs in Bulgaria.
A new video clip for DJ Take me away has been shot which features lead singer Joanna wearing nothing but body paint. The band had spent considerable time trying to decide what Joanna should wear when the male members of the band came up with the idea that she should wear… nothing. Sothe only lady of the group performs the vocal part painted like an exotic flower by professional body paint artists. The clip was directed by Kiril Bozhinov.
As for the staging of the song in Belgrade, it promises to be spectacular. For the first time on Eurovision stage we will see a laser harp, similar to the one used by Jean Michel Jarr in his concerts only more advanced. The futuristic instrument, especially created for the contest, consists of 20 laser rays which, when touched, generate electronic sounds. Lucky members of the press will be given the opportunity to play with the hi-tech instrument during the Bulgarian Press Conferences in the Sava Centar, in Belgrade. Apart from the laser harp, we can expect to see a spectacular fire scratch show, a world's break dance champion and hi-tech DJ instruments, which will be seen for the first time. "We will be happy, if the viewers vote for the most original song, which is the embodiment of modern and free Europe." the band said.
