While Hind is preparing her forthcoming Eurovision performance on May 20th, many other former Dutch representatives are busy working on their own careers. We bring you the highlights of the news that came out these last days.

First of all we'd like to congratulate Linda Wagenmakers, the Dutch representative during the Eurovision Song Contest of 2000, who's expecting her second child in August. Linda announced the news today on her website: 'Me and my husband are very excited about having another baby. We can't wait tohave itin our arms.' At the moment Linda is finishinga concert tour and after that she will leave to Thailand for a well deserved holiday. 'I have all the time togrow really fatthere, surrounded by palm trees.'

Willeke Alberti, the 63 year old singer who represented her country during the Eurovision Song Contest of 1994, will take up her acting career again. She will play a role in Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden (Good Times bad Times), considered to be the most successful soap opera in The Netherlands. Willeke: 'This feels as a new episode in my career and I'm very excited about it. Hopefully I get the chance to play a bitchy character, somebody completely different thanthe waymost people see me.' In the meantime scriptwriters started working on Willeke's role already, and she's about to make her first appearance in the studios somewhere in April.

Other former Dutch representatives stick to their music career. Glennis Grace,the 2005 Dutch participant in Kiev, just released the second cd single of her forthcoming album. Als je slaapt (When you sleep) is the title of the song. Participant in the 1984 Eurovision Song Contest, Maribelle, released a new cd single as well, called Jouw ogen (Your eyes). Mara is the title of Anneke Gronloh's latest single and can be found in music stores as well. This new song comes from her new album, which was released last month. Anneke Gronloh took part in the 1964 Eurovision Song Contest.

Some other former participants will perform their Eurovision entry one more time this Fridayin Dutch tv show Dancing Queens, a dancing contest broadcasted by SBS6. Amongst them are Marlayne (ESC 1999) andEsther Hart (ESC 2003). Linda Wagenmakers will sing her 2000 entry, No Goodbyes, as well. it goes without saying that the theme of the show will be: The Eurovision Song Contest.
