A staggering seven out of ten of this weekend's Melodifestivalen finalists will launch new albums this week. In addition, the 2008 Melodifestivalen double-DVD has been made available to pre-order via esctoday.com's partnerstore, CDON.com. As the finalists gear up for battle on Saturday night, the annual chart battle is now well underway to see who will reach the number one spot in Sweden this weekend.
All ten final entries have now been released for radio airplay and purchase by the public after the completeion of the second chance round this weekend. Every year, there is a marathon charge on the Swedish charts by the songs in the competition, it would not be unexpected if the top 50 chart in sweden next week features all 32 competing songs. All the songs in the final are now available as CD singles.
Amongst the biggest releases is the forthcoming Greatest Hits album by BWO (Bodies Without Organs), a re-release of Amy Diamond's gold album, Music in motion and Linda Bengtzing's second album release, Vild & Galen.
