Sweden: the results of the second chance round

The second chance round of Sweden's Melodifestival, the national selection for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, was held tonight. Eight acts took part and competed for the final two spots in the national final next Saturday: Sibel and Nordman.

Forthe second chance round, the eight acts who had finished third and fourth in the semi finals, were split into four pairs. One act of each pair reached the second round, where the winner of the first pair was competing against the winner of the second pair and the winner of the third pair against the winner of thefourth pair.

The results of the first round:

2. Ola – Love in stereo vs. Caracola – Smiling in love

3. Nordman – I lågornas sken vs. Carola & Andreas Johnson – One love

4. Thérèse Andersson – When you need me vs. Suzie Tapper – Visst finns mirakel

The Ark finished 18th for Sweden in Helsinki with The worrying kind. In 2008, Sweden will take part in the second semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 22nd May.
