FYR Macedonia: Karolina’s cruise concerts sell out

Karolina Gočeva also known as Karolina, who represented FYR Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2002 and 2007, has reportedly sold out cruise concerts in Australia and broken the record for the most weeks running that the events are fully booked.

The FYR Macedonian Eurovision participant will hold concerts from the 7th to the 15th of March on Bella Vista Cruise. She will perform in Perth and then she will continue to Melbourne and Sydney. The concert has sold out for a record 3 weeks under a 130 dollar price per ticket. Because of huge interest in Sydney, a second concert was scheduled in the glamorous “Forum” under Fox Studios.

According to reports, Karolina has alreadyflown to Australia at the beginning of this week.

Karolina Gočeva represented the FYR Macedonia at the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Od Nas Zavisi.” Her performance was praised by journalists and photographers due to her beauty. She was also nominated for Miss Eurovision 2002. She finished in 19th place though her popularity continued to grow in the Balkans.

In 2007, Karolina Gočeva participated in, and won, the FYR Macedonian Eurosong competition with the song “Mojot Svet”, a song written by Grigor Koprov and composed by Ognen Nedelkovski. The competition took place on February 24, 2007 at the Universal Hall in Skopje. Karolina obtained a total of 144 points with a maximum of twelve points from every voting district, procuring her a landslide victory. Karolina became the first artist to represent FYR Macedonia twice at theEurovision Song Contest. She competed in the semi-final in Helsinki, Finland on 10th May 2007, performing at number 18. She then qualified for the final and performed in the 6th slot on May 12, 2007, where she was placed 14th in a field of 24 contestants with a score of 73 points.
