Spanish broadcaster RTVE has announced the name of the person to host this year's national final in the Iberian country. It is none other than Raffaella Carrà, Italian actress, singer and TV presenter who shot to fame in Spain back in the 70's on TVE.
Raffaella Carrà is surely one of the most popular Italian celebrities in Spain since the Iberian country has always been one of the most important legs in her career. Raffaella became well known to Spaniards back in 1975, when she presented the show La hora de Raffaella (Raffaella's hour). Raffaella became much more popular two decades later, in the early 90's when TVE made her one of its main stars, offering her to host two programmes that became rating hits: Hola Raffaella (Hello Raffaella) and A las ocho con Raffaella (At eight o'clock with Raffaella).
The Italian artist is now back in Spain to host the country's national final for Belgrade 2008, Salvemos Eurovisión. The show is scheduled for this Saturday March 8th, at 22.30 CET, right after the news programme Informe Semanal.
Ten acts – Rodolfo Chiquilicuatre, La Casa Azul, Arkaitz, Coral, Bizarre, Lorena C, Innata, Marzok Mangui, Ell*as and D-Vine – will fight it out to represent Spain this year in Belgrade (Serbia).
