Tonight, at the BBC Afterparty following Eurovision: Your Decision, Andy Abraham gave his first interview after winning the United Kingdom's ticket to the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest to esctoday.com. Amongst other things, there's guest appearances from Chico and Simona, and we reveal that the United Kingdom's entry will be backed by a promo tour courtesy of Andy's record company!
Sometimes, videos don't go quite according to plan. This was one of those times! As esctoday.com interviewed the United Kingdom's representative for the next Eurovision Song Contest, we were joined by some rather excited friends of the popular singer. United Kingdom visitors will remember the charismatic and excitable Chico from the X Factor show. He made an immediate u-turn to hook up with his good friend Andy after his victory tonight, and makes an impromtu appearance. As does Simona, who competed in the show tonight.
Andy was overwhelmed by his victory and was still taking in the result, but he was happy to speak to esctoday.com about the win, the song and what this means to him. As you watch the video, you will also see the respect he has from former X Factor rival, Chico and Simona Armstrong, who was more than happy for andy to win.
