Tonight at 20:15 CET – 22:15 CET, Eirodziesma, the Latvian preselection for this year's Eurovision Song Contest takes place. Ten competing acts and a host of Eurostars past and present will take the stage in the show which will be made available for international fans to watch through a live webcast.

The show

The show starts at 20.15 CET and it will see ten hopefuls fighting out to succeed Bonaparti.lv in the Eurovision Song Contest for Latvia. The selection will be conducted in two phases. Three of the finalists will proceed to the super final where a second round of voting will decide the winner.

The guests

The following Eurostars will be appearing in this year’s Eirodziesma: Maltese representative, Morena, Jeronimas Milius from Lithuania, Elnur and Samir from Azerbaijan and Tereza Kerndlova from the Czech Republic. Bonaparti.lv, who represented Latvia last year in Helsinki will also be present, as well as Liene Somase (Eirodziesma 2007 finalist), Tumsa and Martins Freimanis (author of Hello from Mars (2003) and The war is not over (2005) and Putnu balle and Walter & Kazha (2005).
