The Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna, Austria, was the grand winner during the presentation of the annual Austrian Event Award-show.

The 19th edition of the Austrian Event Award was hosted in the Design Center in Linz, Austria. A jury consisting of ten persons distributed the awards over nine categories, plus two special awards.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna, with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) as principal employer and ORF Marketing & Creation (OMC) as partner agency, won the prestigious Gold Award in the category Overall Communication (Gesamtkommunikation).

Also, the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 won the special award for Green Event, acknowledging that Eurovision 2015 was especially mindful of ecological and environmental matters.

Furthermore, the inflatable projection sphere, the ViennaSphere, won gold in the category Public Events Charity/Social/Cultural, plus the bronze award in honor of the Eurovision Village, the meeting place for ten-thousands of Eurovision-fans.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2015 has already won many awards across Europe: the Green Events Austria Special Prize in May 2015, the Green Music Award in Cologne, Germany in August 2015, the second place during the Sustainable Designers-ceremony for companies with more than 100 employees in November 2015, and also in November 2015 the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 won two awards during the Spanish EuBea Festival in Sevilla: a silver Elephant in the category Hybrid Event (both live- and digital content) and the special jury-award for Best Channel Strategy.
