Melodifestivalen, fourth Semi final has arrived to Telenor Arena in Karlskrona. Eight songs will compete for two tickets to the final and two tickets to Andra chanson next week. This week we will see Idol participant Sibel, schlager artist Linda Bengtzing and the comeback of 1999 Eurovision Song Contest winner Charlotte Perrelli
The rehearsals have begun in Karlskrona, all the artist have had their time on the stage, getting ready to get their performance perfected for the tv-audience and the public in the arena.
Song 1: För många ord om kärlek – Niklas Strömstedt
This week's wild card goes first out on stage. First time in the contest as an artist, Niklas strömstedt performance an up tempo pop song. The songs reminds very much Niklas' own hits as it is in his typical style.
Song 2: If I Could – Calaisa
Calaisa performs a song in Dixie Chicks style. In this country number the girls play violin accustic guitar. All country fans will find their favorite in this one.
Song 3: Pame – Daniel Mitsogiannis
Daniel Mitsogiannis is a young greek singer from Norrköping. Henke Wikström and Fredrik Kempe has written the song and it’s a bit like their song from last year Cara mia by Måns Zelmerlöwand Sonja Aldéns song Etymon. The stage number is a dance routine with lots of energy. Journalists present at the rehearsals says this will be a hit at the gay clubs in Sweden.
Song4: Hur svårt kan det va? – Linda Bengtzing
Linda Bengtzing participates in Melodifestivalen for the third time . The first two times she made it to the final with Alla flickor and Jag ljunger så bra. Linda will have three professional dancers on stage from the dance group Bounce. It’s a classic schlager performance mixed with a dance number. The songs is very classic schlager, like a modern version of Jag ljuger så bra.
Song 5: I lågornas sken – Nordman
Nordman is back in Melodifestivalen. This time with a song with strong chorus and captivating melody. The composers behind this song have also done Sarek's Genome eld och vatten and Magnus Bäcklunds The name of love.There will be fire, smoke and a dancer on stage.
Song 6: That Is Where I'll Go – Sibel
Last time she was competing in Idol. Now she returns to the media limelight to compete in Melodifestivalen. The song is a ballad, a love song. Sibel stands alone on stage performing her song. People that voted for Sanna Nielsen two weeks ago, may like this one.
Song 7: Ingen mår så bra som jag – Fronda
Fronda could be in Melodifestivalen last year, but said no. But this year he had different view of things and said yes. This is a hip hop, rap pop kind of song. The band behind Fronda plays the trumpet and the accordion.
Song 7: Hero – Charlotte Perrelli
In 1999 she won Melodifestivalen and Eurovision Song Contest with Take me to your heaven. In 2003 she was one of the hosts, together with Mark Levingood and Lena Philipsson in the Jönköping semi final. In 2004 she was one of the hosts for the whole contest. Now in 2008, she is back to compete. The song is a modern schlager song, reminiscent of Da Buzz, Paparizou, Kate Ryan and schlager. The stage has a big diamond in the center and there is a specially designed microphone with more diamonds, and of course, Charlotte is in the center. She also uses the catwalk, lasers and a wind machine.
