Jalisse, Italy�s last representatives in the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest, presented their new song Tra rose e cielo at the the 28th edition of BIT – International Tourism Exchange in Milan, Italy. The song is believed to have been submitted to the Sanmarinese broadcaster for the selection of the entry that will represent the microstate in the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest.

The duo of Alessandra Drusian and Fabio Ricci, couple in life and in art, better known as Jalisse presented yesterday at the 28th edition of BIT – International Tourism Exchange in Milan, Italy their song Tra rose e cielo (Between roses and the sky), penned by Iraqi poet Younis Tawfik and composed by Fabio Ricci. The song is part of the upcoming album of the duo, currently under production, inspired by The eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). ‘’It’s a piece that narrates the passion, an indelible memory, the hope of a return, an homage for all those that work and give their life for the peace and the freedom of the people, a declaration of eternal love’’, Younis Tawfik commented.

The song is believed to have been submitted to the committee of the Sanmarinese broadcaster which will select the first entry of the microstate in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest although no confirmation has been received at the time of publication.
