Dustin the Turkey spoke to Ryan Tubridy on “Tubridy Tonight” chat show straight after the Eurosong show live on RTÉ. In his first interview after winning the ticket to represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Serbia; here's what Dustin had to say…
Ryan: How do you feel in winning the Irish National Final for Eurovision 2008?
Dustin: I have every emotion to man and turkey, thanks to everyone who voted.
Ryan: Bad reaction you got…
Dustin: I’ve been in television 13 or 14 years now and have never experienced anything like this before and its just mad, but i'm shocked and delighted!
Ryan: are you bothered about being booed at all?
Dustin: it was relatives of the other contestants!!! But I thank everyone and can’t believe it am not over the shock yet!
Ryan: what were the other contestants reactions to your win?
Dustin: they're abit "ticked off" over it, but am just looking for a free flight to Serbia!
Ryan: Everyone wants to interviewyou nowwhenyou get there and so good luck.
Dustin: yeah I can’t wait and again thanks to everyone who supported me- "Go on ya gud thing!"
